Rape in porn: dark shadow over French porn industry
The recent allegations of rape in porn that have surfaced in France cast a dark shadow over the country’s porn business. A group of 17 men are at the center of a contentious debate that has the potential to change the jurisprudence and perception of the porn industry.
The “Bukkake” Offense – A Thorough Analysis
After receiving reports of these shocking allegations, the prosecutor’s office proceeded carefully to understand the full extent of the allegations. The charges – “rape, gang rape, organized trafficking and aggravated pimping” – are shocking and serious . The fact that they are said to have occurred during the production of content for a now-closed website presents a challenge to the jurisdiction.

The investigation revealed startling details, such as the promise that the videos would only be seen on private Canadian websites, when in fact they were broadcast in France. Producers took advantage of the women’s desperate situation by charging large sums of money to remove the films, only to have them continue to circulate on the Internet.
The charge and the consequences
In October 2020, a preliminary investigation was launched against the French bukkake operation led by producer and performer Pascal OP. The investigation identified about 50 alleged victims, and their statements were thoroughly investigated.
A source from the Paris judiciary told AFP that four people have been charged with rape, three of whom have been remanded in custody. The fourth performer was released but placed under “judicial control.” The identification of the actors brings out the dimensions of the allegations and shows how far-reaching the alleged crimes are.
